Hi! I’m Scruffy! I know, I know….that sounds like a boy name. I was living a horrid life at an awful place and no one paid attention to me at all. These super-duper rescue ladies arrived on angel’s wings. They scooped me and my pals up and took us to nice cozy foster homes. They called me Scruffy and I LOVED it! I had never had a name before! By the time they realized I was a girl, it was too late and I was already in love with my NEW name! So please, call me Scruffy. Nice to meet ya! They tell me I’m a terrier mix – maybe with some Schnauzer. It makes no difference to me, I just want to be loved. I’m around 2 years old. I hear that I’m the perfect size at 20 lbs. - just big enough to hug like a teddy bear. My foster mom says that she sure loves me. While I am still scared a lot, I am starting to learn how to be loved. I’d never felt that warm tingly feeling in my heart before, but I think it’s pretty cool! And who would have thought that everything in this world is NOT out to get me! Wow! But sometimes I forget and get scared anyway. Since I’ve never had a home, my foster mom tells me to mind my manners and gives me treats when I do. I think I might like manners, especially if they can get you treats! YUM! Maybe this new “forever home” they keep telling me about will keep reminding me that I don’t have to hurt anymore and I’ll get to learn even MORE manners! That would be S-W-E-E-T!!!
