I'm Peanut, also known as Peanut Butter Cup by the children. You rescued me form a very sad situation but look at me now
I am about a year and a half old, 8 pounds, great appetite, especially like to have my kibble mixed with a little broth and an occasional piece of chicken with some rice. I am a little skittish when you first meet me but just hold me close to your heart and I will nuzzle my head into you and fold my two front paws together. Thats how you know that I trust you. My foster mom has a kennel crate for me, although I prefer to sleep on a fluffy pillow with a baby blanket...but I am not a baby! I play wrestling games with the big dogs and I even chased off a field mouse from the yard! I don't mind sharing my food after I leave my plate but when I am eating, please let me finish what I want first. My foster mom sets my plate about six feet away from the others. You see, I was very hungry for a long time so it will take me a while to really feel full. I am house trained, well ok mom says 99.9 percent. You see, sometimes I just get busy or take a longer nap than the others and I forget so she reminds me when it is time to go out. If I forget then just tell me what I am so supposed to do so I will remember. I really want to please you. My foster mom has four grand kids and they really love to play with me. When I run I hop sort of like a rabbit. They laugh at me but then I let them chase me and we all have fun. You see, a while ago I hurt my right hind leg and it made that leg about 1/4 inch shorter than the others. But that hasn't stopped me! I do well on a leash but prefer to just run beside you. I don't go far away but it sure is fun to explore. I know my name so just call me if I venture too far. I like getting a bath but don't drag it out too long. I get cold quickly and I love my foster moms warm towels. She said she would tell my adopters to put one in the dryer for me each time. It's been a hard knock life for me, but I have forgiven everything, and when I am cuddled and told I am loved, I believe you.
