DANIEL is a 1 yr old, 40 lb English Short Hair Pointer Mix, Neutered and UTD on all vaccinations. **Daniel is currently receiving treatment for Heart worms.
DANIEL is a sweet, gentle, and mild mannered dog who was found stray during one of those awful below freezing nights this past January. He was terribly emaciated. Looks like he may have been on his own for a long time and did not encounter very nice folks. He displayed a very timid and shy demeanor, was very easily startled and distrusting of people.
DANIEL has been in foster now for about two months and is coming around very well. He is beginning to trust his foster family and gain some confidence. He is a sensitive pup who responds best to a calm and gentle approach.
DANIEL displays healthy social behavior with other dogs - LOVES TO PLAY and is currently very successful and well adjusted within a pack. He does great in a social setting such as the park - there is a video attached of him enjoying the park! He loves puppies, socks and tennis balls, which he quickly takes to his favorite place under a tree. He loves his bone also! Being a herd dog, DANIEL loves to "herd" dogs as they run and is nimble and light on his feet! (So fun to watch!)
DANIEL is potty and house trained (apart from socks. He loves them) and is well behaved and calm. He is also crate trained and will sit for food and treats. His foster family continues to work on building his confidence and trust before working on other basic commands.
DANIEL is a special, loving dog and will do incredibly well as a family pet. He brings great joy to his foster family and we expect he will bring you just as much :-)
