Hi, my name is Eva, this is my story. In January, 2014 I was in the shelter, pregnant. I never had enough food or anyone to love me. I heard them talking, I was going down the hall at 3:00. I had seen dogs go down that hall and never come back. It was my turn. Some ladies called Krewe got me out at the last second. They saved me and my babies. I went to a foster home where I had my babies, 7 of them!! I see pictures of them all the time, all adopted and happy. I love my foster home but I hear that there is something called a Furever Home. Would really like to talk to someone about that. I am a good dog, about 2 yrs. ok in a kennel, like my leash and walks. Really love my Mom's lap. Foster dogs every where here, I am ok with it. Learning to get along with others, ok at home, I get scared sometimes tho. If you would like to talk, email me. I have my own Collar, Leash, and a real special bed that Ms. Heidi brought me. My Foster Mom is going to cry if I get adopted but she will be happy and wants the best for me.Lets don't tell her that I posted on Pet Finder. She hates it when I get her phone. Love, Eva
Eva is a two year old, 55 lb, female, dark chocolate lab mix. She is a very mild mannered sweet and affectionate dog. She was rescued from the shelter and had a litter of 7 puppies a week later on 2/18/2014. She was a very attentive mother. Eva has been with the same fosters since her rescue. She walks well on a leash, and is house broken.
Foster parents say that she now is kennel trained, not her fave but accepts being in a kennel. She has socialized well with their two dogs and two other foster dogs, don't know about cats as they have none.
She has come around 180 degrees since being in foster, she now willingly comes in the house, even gets up into bed with the foster parents, where when she first came here she had to be dragged into the house. She is very docile but is protective of the home. She is currently being treated for heartworms with the slow kill method, and has about 6 more months to be heartworm free. She has been spayed, and is up to date on shots.
The foster parents will be more than happy to give any and all insights into the sweet Eva that is at their house.
