BEAR is a 3 1/2 year old, 65 lb English Labrador - neutered, house broken and UTD on all shots. ***Disclaimer: He does think he is a lap dog :-) The English Lab is a more solid version of the American Lab we are all accustomed to. One online source describes them as having shorter noses, blockier heads, thicker bodies, they a thick otter tail and a shorter and heavier body. They are also reported as being calmer dogs on the whole than the American Lab.
BEAR has such a sweet personality. He knew he was being rescued when he was picked him up from the vet, says his foster mom "He kept putting his face against mine like he was hugging me! BEAR thinks he is a lap dog and loves to be petted and loved on"
BEAR knows basic commands sit/stay/down and as the gentleman he is, he likes to shake your hand! BEAR is laid back, friendly, sociable and the only thing that motivates him more than some good old fashion belly rubs is food and treats!
BEAR would love a home of his own and we think he'd be a perfect fit for your family. He would do well as an only pet or in a multi dog family.
