Rarity had a rough start. She was found in a rural area, emaciated and covered in fleas and ticks. The vet estimated that she is 2-3 years old. She has spend three weeks in her foster home and look at her now! Rarity is German Shorthair Pointer looking for a forever home! She is incredibly sweet, loving and snuggly. Rarity definitely needs someone who can be her “person” and love her in return. She is crate-trained and making progress with potty training, as well as commands. She seems compatible with young children based on experiences with kids who live near her foster family. It’s unclear how Rarity would handle a feline sibling, but is good with other dogs. She loves playing with her foster sister (also a GSP), chewing her toys, going on walks and searching out birds and squirrels. Like most dogs of her breed, Rarity needs daily exercise and opportunities to exert her energy. Her foster family says she’s been a delightful addition to their household and expects she will be the same in her forever home! Rarity is heartworm positive but has started on slow kill treatment. Our adoption fee is $175 and includes vet check, age appropriate vaccines, spay and a microchip. If you are interested in adopting Rarity, please complete the application below.
