About Alistair

  • Adoption Fee: 175
  • Species: Dog
  • Rescue ID: 22-0113
Alastair is the perfect little guy. He is harness trained and house trained. However, he needs to be walked or let outside in a fenced enclosure every 45 minutes as he can't hold his bladder very long. He ignores cats and other dogs. He is very quiet but gets very vocal when he needs to go outside. If you have to leave Alastair for an extended period of time he will tinkle on a pup pad. He loves his comfy bed and loves loves loves his blankets. He does get chilly easy. He loves to snuggle with big stuffed animals but does not play with them. He is very laid back and is content snuggling next to his person and watching T.V. He does love to be held for awhile but is more content sitting by his person. He loves to be held and toted around a lot. He is a perfect car rider and does not require a crate but does require a harness with a dog seatbelt. He does not seem to be startled by bad weather unless it's severe bad weather. He is all around a chill little guy that enjoys being loved and doesn't mind when you are busy. He does do well in a crate also. We are unsure exactly how old Alistair is. The vet guessed that he is about five. His teeth were so rotten and infected that he had to have several pulled. He has a heart murmur but takes Enapril twice a day. He is very stubborn about taking it, and you have to trick him. The vet also thinks he has early stage kidney disease. He just started eating food designed for dogs with kidney issues. If you are interested in giving Alastair a loving home to live out his remaining years, please complete the application below. https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=DMBCNVST
