Barney is a one year old Shih Tzu that weighs approximately 10 pounds. He was found as a stray and was matted and covered in fleas. He has been in a foster home for a few weeks and we have learned a lot about Barney! He is very very people oriented!! He loves to be held and will watch TV with you. He is a GREAT DOG, intelligent and sweet. He would do good with other small dogs but needs a home without small children. He is moderately active most of the time but will occasionally get the zoomies and easily jumps on couches/chairs. He is mostly house trained and is doing well with leash training. He loves to mouth your hands, but his bite control is doing great and he seldom puts any pressure on your fingers. He is very food motivated and would be easy to train. He is learning basic commands such as calm, quiet, and sit. He will occasionally bark for attention but basically is a quiet dog. Our adoption fee is $175 and includes age appropriate vaccines, neuter, heartworm test and a microchip. If you are interested in adopting, please complete our adoption application below
